Varje söndag kl. 12-15 presenteras utställningen av en konstnär från Konsti.

Konstis julbasar arrangeras lördagen den 26.11.2011 kl. 12-17 i museets aula.

Utställningen öppnas av

Connecting är en mångsidig ambulerande utställning med konsthantverk och design. Den sammanställdes i samarbete mellan formgivare och konstnärer i

Tyskland, Norge, Finland, Danmark och Sverige. Finländsk arrangör är konstindustriföreningen Konsti.

Till Connecting-utställningen har valts åtta konstnärer från varje land. De representerar mångsidigt olika material och tekniker inom konstindustribranschen. Connecting förenar såväl traditioner som nutid. Samtidigt förenar och främjar den samarbetet mellan konstnärerna i de olika länderna.

The exhibtion Connecting Arts and Crafts from Germany, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Sweden was successfully opened on Saturday, September 10, at Pohjanmaan Museo, Vaasa. 

Ms Katarina Andersson, director of the museum, welcomed the eighteen artists of the participating countries and the interested audience in a tremendous ceremony, together with Tarja Hautamäki/ Central Ostrobothnia, Marjatta Eväso Southern Ostrobothnia, Cornelia Patz-Nahm/ Connecting-Germany, and Minna Tuohisto-Kokko/ Konsti. The danish Consul Kaj Ericsson general opened the exhibition.

Marianne Maas accompanied the opening on the violin.

After the opening remarks there was  time for talks and discussion, and the artists enjoyed a very positive reaction to their work. We were encouraged both by the visitors to the museum as well as the representatives of Ostrobothnia and Southostrobothnia to continue this cooperation. 

Later in the afternoon the city of Vaasa invited us for a reception in the residence of provincial governor.  The visiting artists were invited by their Finnish colleagues to their homes, so there was additional time for exchange, networking, and discussion. 

We all returned home with new impressions and experiences and the feeling of having made new friends.
